Mozambique: Sale of Galp's Stake in Natural Gas Under Arbitration
The Galp case gains added importance due to the fact that the audit process of the recoverable costs of the Area 1 consortium (Mozambique LNG), operated by Total Energies (AM 1542), remains unfinished, which could result in a new source of discord, after the Mozal case (AM Flash 26-13) and the threat by Kenmare Resources to proceed with litigation (AM Flash 26-11) if the government imposes conditions not foreseen in the new Implementation Agreement for the extractive project in Moma (Nampula).
