Angola: Continental ‘Corridors’ Save Lourenço’s AU Presidency
In diplomatic circles, an alignment is noted between the AU presidency's agenda and Angolan national interests – namely the AfCFTA – and infrastructure, with the Lobito Corridor in the spotlight. The Lobito Corridor project has attracted the interest of international investors, but investment conditions continue to be generally assessed as high-risk, with persistent doubts about its impact on large-scale local wealth creation and employment (AM 1553).
