Equatorial Guinea: Construction Companies Pressured to Complete Obiang's New Capital
Government hired the Chinese company ICC Construction in 2025 to present the urban plan for the new capital. The funds that will pay for the new capital are framed within the Agenda 2035 program or Sustainable Development Strategy, approved in 2021, and part of the financing will come from the African Development Bank (AfDB).
