Mozambique: Possible Extractive Business Interests of Minister Promoted at International Event
In JAN.2025, shortly after being appointed PR, DANIEL CHAPO announced that ministers would have 45 days to declare assets exceeding USD 12,000 - real estate, shares, equity stakes in civil or commercial companies, rights over boats, aircraft or vehicles, rights to use and exploit land, livestock, securities portfolios, bank accounts, mobile wallets, and equivalent financial investments. To date, this intention has not been fulfilled.
