Angola/Mozambique: Relations with US Survive in Trump Era

In Angola, US participation in the Lobito Corridor project (AM 1483) was driven by the presence of critical minerals in the country and that the project would facilitate US access to such sources, also in neighboring countries, and allow it to intervene in their outflow; the Benguela Railway (CFB), the main structure of the Corridor, will be connected to the railways of Zambia and the DRC, both serving areas of great mining potential in the so-called Copperbelt (AM 1489).
