Mozambique: Rwandan Engagement Questioned as Jihadists Expand Attack Perimeter
Despite the “diversion” of insurgent activity away from the Northern Theater of Operations of Cabo Delgado, the free access of jihadist cells to the Niassa reserve, repeating other incursions in the north of Nampula province (AM 1452), reveals the continued inability to contain the region. Following the attack on 24.APR, the Secretary of State for Niassa, SILVA LIVONE, assured that security forces would be on standby if the insurgents crossed into the province, which happened days later.
