Angola: Oil in Loss and Mining on the Rise in Economic Weight
The trend in recent years has seen an increase in the weight of sectors such as mining and agriculture in the economy as a whole, along with a reduction in the weight of the oil sector, but the latter continues to represent the bulk of economic activity.
The recovery of non-oil sectors of the economy capable of replacing the oil industry in its role as the main economic support (agriculture and mining, the most important) has been hampered by slowness and inefficiency, preventing compensation in time and under the required conditions, so the risk of an abrupt fall in activity is considerable.
