The Armed Forces (AF) have been undergoing a financial and administrative crisis with effects considered negative on their organization and functioning, including mission fulfillment.
The economic and financial crisis in which the country finds itself is usually presented as the "raison d'être" of the state of the Armed Forces. However, it has not constituted an impediment to decisions/plans aimed at strengthening the security apparatus, the PIR and the UGP – in technical means and in creating better remuneration conditions for their personnel.
