The general strike decreed by presidential candidate VENÂNCIO MONDLANE (VM) will resume on the 24-25.OCT, part of the "25 days of rage" - symbolizing the 25 shots fired against ELVINO DIAS (ED) and PAULO GUAMBE (PG) - started on the 21.OCT.

Given that the guidance points not just to a stoppage, but to a national protest in the streets, the mobilisation scheduled for 24-25.OCT. may result in a number and type of incidents more serious than the previous one.

The deadline for the National Election Commission (CNE) to announce the final national results, which should confirm the FRELIMO majority and the victory of the respective candidate DANIEL CHAPO (DC), is 24.OCT. Despite the numerous resources under review and the internal environment, with the call for the second strike by VM, the date of the announcement was confirmed by the CNE.
