FRELIMO claims to be the winner of the elections. Several of its leaders, namely the SG, ROQUE SILVA, declare that the party won in 64 municipalities. The only exception was Beira, which remains under the control of the Democratic Movement of Mozambique (MDM) of LUTERO SIMANGO.
