Mozambique: World Bank Troubled by Indications of Irregularities in Celso Correia´s Management
In addition to the importance in the collection of external funds and the full autonomy of FNDS, sector observers accuse Celso Correia of having overly centralized the decision-making process and publishing data on the inconsistent results of SUSTENTA, while the WB remains passive in controlling the results of the funding to the country.
The decision to extend the programme to the national territory from 2020, including other agricultural crops and regions besides Nampula and Zambezia (pilot projects), is considered ineffective and hiding objectives of increasing the clientelism networks under the control of Celso Correia. READ MORE
