Although the presence of the defense and security forces, the SAMIM contingent (SADC) and the sporadic support of the Rwandan forces on the ground in Cabo Delgado have allowed to minimize growing movements of armed Islamic inspiration groups in the districts of Macomia and Muidumbe, insurgent attacks in these districts remain, although proving to be tactically poorly consistent.

The worsening of the security situation imposed the need for reinforcement of patrolling in the region, with the sending of FADM, SAMIM and the military of the Rwandan contingent for various road circulation control operations. READ MORE
