Mozambique: LNG in Cabo Delgado Exposes TotalEnergies to NGO Criticism
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is central to TotalEnergies' plans to increase fossil fuel production, predicting an increase in LNG extraction by 40% between 2021-2030, driven by new projects in Qatar, Papua New Guinea , Mozambique and the USA, in addition to new blocks in Namibia. The group forecasts, in total, to increase its oil and gas production by 2% in 2023, a trend to be maintained until 2030.
