Angola: Duplicity by Lourenço in Managing Supreme Court Crisis
The instability that has been affecting the Supreme Court (TS) and, before that, also the Court of Auditors (TC), has become a new reason for the attention paid to the action of JOÃO LOURENÇO (JL). In both cases, instability was generated by criminal or objectionable behavior by their presidents, JOEL LEONARDO (JLE) and EXALGINA GAMBOA (EG), in fact chosen/appointed by JL and with whom they also had “special links”.
JL has shown partiality in his attitude towards the two magistrates against whom similar criminal charges are pending (AM 1394). EG, the magistrate with whom he used notorious severity, was his friend, and it is conjectured that the benevolence practiced in relation to JLE is a reflection of mutual complicity. READ MORE
