Angola: DR Congo Priority in Regional Policy
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) is considered a “priority” in Angola's regional policy – a primacy that already has precedents, but is now unique, not shared with countries like the Central African Republic, another State in the region affected by problems of instability and violence.
The special importance attributed to the DR Congo comes from the outbreaks of political and social instability and/or civil war that persist in its territory, tending to be able to have repercussions in Angola, due to the vicinity and the multiple affinities existing between the two countries.
