Angola: “Free, Fair and Transparent” Elections, But Not Enough
The African electoral observation missions dispatched to Angola all made corrections to aspects of the process considered compromising for its transparency. In the treatment given by the Angolan media to the reports (in English) of the aforementioned missions, the African Union, SADCC, ECCAS and the association of electoral commissions of the countries in the region, the only passages used from them were those referring to the orderly composure of voters and the organization of the vote.
