Guinea-Bissau: Prosecution Dismisses Political-Party Involvement in Coup Attempt
The Attorney General's Office accuses a total of 26 people involved in the coup. The group is composed of armed individuals, identified by witnesses and image records, and by those who allegedly provided some of the weapons used, as well as the vehicles.
Mainly political reasons are attributed to the path pursued by the PGR, which, in coordination with the government and PR UMARO SISSOCO EMBALÓ (USE), will avoid disseminating an image of a “witch hunt”.
