Angola: External Pressure Over Anti-Election Fraud Growing
The US and the European Union are considering the “obstructions” that the regime has shown in terms of its participation in the international election observation mechanism, as new evidence of fraud preparation. The regime's attitude, already verified in the 2017 elections, is seen as to hide potentially sensitive aspects of its electoral system.
The creation of an international anti-fraud climate in Angola could also influence external initiatives, of a political and judicial nature, aimed at creating embarrassment for INDRA, a Spanish company once again hired to provide information systems and electoral logistics.
