Angola: After the Navy, Air Force Affected by Lack of Resources
The situation of the MGA and now the AF has been causing unease among military and political circles. Among the former, it is conjectured that the situation may be deliberate, so that aviation companies - a business in which the Lourenço family is active (AM 1185) - may be hired to provide services.
A solution under consideration, but which does not solve the FA's fundamental problems, is to transfer the helicopters of Sonair (Sonangol), which is for sale, to the FA's control.
