In a context of a prolonged fall in tourist activity, the "engine" of the country's economy, the Government of ULISSES CORREIA da SILVA introduced in the 2022 State Budget (OE 2022) a wide range of incentives for business activity, aimed at attracting investment, stimulating the creation of companies and the labor market.

The 2022 State Budget also includes a set of fiscal and administrative measures for the implementation of the fiber optic international submarine cables project (AM 1291).

Increase in Government debt - The Cape Verdean State's net domestic debt could increase by 11.4 billion escudos (EUR 103 million) to meet the financing needs arising from the execution of the 2022 State Budget. READ MORE
